Acumulator LiFePO4 12.8/100Ah-Smart

Acumulatori LiFePO4 denumiti mai pe scurt si LFP sunt cei mai siguri din gama de acumulatori Li-ion.
Tensiunea nominala a unei celule LFP este 3.2V( la cele cu acid este 2V). In acest mod un acumulator Li-ion de 12.8V este format din 4 celule legate in serie iar unul de 25.6V din 8 astfel ce celule legate in serie.
Acumulatorii Li-ion Smart permit prin intermediul tehnologiei Bluetooth monitorizarea tensiunii celulelor, temperatura si eventualele avertizari cu privire la starea sistemului. Acest tip de monitorizare este foarte util daca vrem localizarea potentialelor probleme , de exemplu in dezechilibru intre celulele acumulatorului.

O baterie cu acid va ceda prematur datorita sulfatarii daca opereaza in regim deficitar perioade lungi de timp ( daca bateria este foarte rar sau niciodata complet incarcata). Un acumulator Li-ion LFP nu are nevoie sa fie complet incarcat. Durata de viata ii este dimpotriva usor prelungita in cazul incarcarilor partiale fata de incarcari complete. Acesta este un avantaj major al acumulatorilor Li-ion fata de cei cu acid.

Alte avantaje sunt: plaja extinsa a temperaturilor de operare si dimensiunile reduse . Atat ca dimensiuni cat si ca masa, acumulatorii LFP sunt cu aproape 30% mai mici decat cei cu acid.

Este recomandata utilizarea acestor acumulatori Li-ion cu un sistem de management al incarcarii BMS.
Acest aparat are trei functii de baza:
1. Decupleaza sau opreste consumatorii cand tensiunea unei celule scade sub 2.5V;
2. Opreste procesul de incarcare cand tensiunea celulei creste peste 4.2V;
3. Opreste tot sistemul cand temperatura creste peste 50grade C
